In order to understand how a college student might interact and benefit from a catered budgeting app, I mapped out different user journeys.

Initial Sketches
Using the information architecture, I was able to visually lay out the system of screens that would be necessary to make my app successful in catering to the budgeting needs of college students.
Initial Gray Scale Wireframes
Mood Boards
Taking into account my initial sketches and grayscale wireframes, I was able to start exploring different UI/UX systems. I benchmarked some existing apps with successful UI systems, and created two mood boards. The first mood board emphasized a very rounded and soft UI system/color palette. The second mood board emphasized a sharper UI system, with starker and more contrasted colors. Both mood boards were successful in different ways.
